ABOUT
I’m Lucas Wentzel, a brand creative director operating at the intersection of culture, craft, and commerce.
Born and raised between France and the US, I’ve spent 15 years building visual worlds for brands that needed more than a logo, they needed a language. From Jack Daniel’s to Netflix, Samsung to scrappy challengers, I’ve learned that the best brands don’t just perform on shelf. They earn a place in people’s lives.
My work is shaped by two things that never quite fit together but always should: French design sensibility and American market pragmatism. The instinct to make things beautiful. The drive to make them work.
Outside of client work, I’m the founder of Holy Grail, a collectible sneaker art brand I build out of my studio, launching in 2027.. Limited edition wall sculptures for people who treat their kicks like museum pieces. It’s where I get to be the client, the creative director, and the maker, all at once.
I believe the most powerful brands are built by people who are genuinely obsessed with something. I’m obsessed with the moment a brand stops being a product and starts being a reference.
Let’s build something that lasts.
THE
VISION
Working inside high-volume CPG ecosystems changes the way you think about design.
Packaging is not aesthetic first.
It’s hierarchy, compliance, scalability, and velocity.
Campaigns are not isolated visuals.
They are systems that must function across retail shelves,
Amazon thumbnails, paid media formats, and internal workflows.
Growth increases complexity.
Without structure, coherence collapses.
That’s where I operate.
WHAT
I DO
• Translate positioning into scalable brand systems
• Engineer packaging for retail and digital performance
• Architect campaign hierarchies that convert
• Provide embedded strategic design leadership
I work with a limited number of brands in growth mode, partnering closely with founders and marketing teams who value precision over reaction.
HOW
I THINK
I’ve always been drawn to structure over decoration.
Trends shift. Platforms evolve.
What matters is whether the system holds.
I care less about visual noise and more about clarity at scale.
Less about one-off execution and more about long-term consistency.
Good design should survive pressure.
